Valley Freightliner, Inc. is excited to announce the acquisition of Freedom Truck Centers of Spokane, WA, the leading Freightliner, Western Star, and Detroit Diesel sales and service provider in central and eastern Washington.

In the deal VFI will purchase substantially all of the assets of FTC including the truck center facilities in Spokane and Yakima.  VFI will also retain Freedom Truck Centers’ Freightliner, Western Star, Sterling, Reitnouer, Wilson, and IMCO dealer authorities and territories.  Freedom Truck Centers will operate as a division of Valley Freightliner to minimize the impact to FTC’s valued customers and suppliers.

“The Gordon Family and the great team at VFI could not be a better fit for the employees, customers, and the communities that Freedom Truck Centers has served over the last 21 years,” said Ken Cook, President and Owner, Freedom Truck Centers.  “This deal guarantees future success of the brands we have served. The transition is anticipated to be seamless for the customers. In the end, it is about striving to meet the customers’ expectations, I have confidence this deal accomplished that.”

With the acquisition, Valley Freightliner will now operate five full-service Freightliner truck centers in Mt. Vernon, Pacific, Olympia, Yakima, and Spokane, Washington.  With a service territory that covers virtually all of Washington and counties in northwest Idaho, Valley Freightliner/Freedom Truck Centers is now the largest Freightliner and Detroit Diesel service, sales and parts provider in the Pacific Northwest.

Alex Bernasconi, General Manager, Valley Freightliner said, ”We are very excited to bring Freedom Truck Centers into the Valley Freightliner network of heavy and medium truck dealerships.  With this acquisition, the combined entity provides expansive coverage in both Eastern and Western Washington along the major Interstate Highways including I-5, I-90 and I-82.  The combined force of our five full service dealerships provides a seamless network of support to our customers who travel the highways of our great state.”
