In partnership with Daimler Trucks North America, the Gordon Truck Centers Dealer Family has helped identify a Pacific Northwest diesel technology program to benefit from a Freightliner truck donation.

Mt. Vernon, WA – The Skagit Valley College Diesel Technology program received the 2011, CA113 on December 6th, 2017. The freightliner truck features the ISX12 engine and Eaton Ultrashift transmission and will play a critical role in the education process for future technicians attending the not-for-profit college.

Jonathan Callis, service manager at Freightliner Northwest in Mt Vernon, suggested Skagit Valley College as a recipient for a donation truck because of their dedication to diesel technology, success of previous students and employees, and their need for training aids to assist with after treatment technology. Jonathan was able to give 12 year instructor Bernie Andringa the choice between two truck models supplied by DTNA and Mr. Andringa was grateful to receive the news of the donation.

“I wish I could find other words in my stunned brain right now to express my sincere gratitude for the work you have done here to make this dream a reality,” said Mr. Andringa. “This truck donation is a really big deal to us, and we look forward to making Freightliner products a more integrated part of our program.”
