The\u00a0final day of the event\u00a0showcases the logging industry to the public. According to the OLC, over 12,000 industry professionals and general public\u00a0attended the 79th annual conference in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. dealership family has attended the OLC for the last several years and it is a great opportunity to show\u00a0what Freightliner and Western Star have to offer customers in the logging industry. Visitors of the OLC were able to get an up-close look at GTC&#8217;s\u00a0Freightliner Northwest and Western Star Northwest equipment which featured the 4 axle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freightlinernorthwest.com\/freightliner-122sd\">Freightliner 122SD<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernstarnorthwest.com\/western-star-4900\">Western Star 4900SA<\/a>. Both trucks provide a tough, rugged platform to get the job done in any logging environment! In addition to the two log trucks, the display showcased the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freightlinernorthwest.com\/freightliner-114sd\">Freightliner 114SD<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernstarnorthwest.com\/western-star-4700\">Western Star 4700SB<\/a> vocational chassis in dump truck configuration.<\/p>\n<p>In the center of the Freightliner Northwest &amp; Western Star Northwest exhibit was a Detroit Diesel DD15 engine and after-treatment system. This display gave visitors an opportunity to view an engine outside of the truck and it took center stage during the free Detroit Diesel Technology seminar attended by 75 loggers\u00a0and lead by\u00a0Corporate Training Instructor, Clint O\u2019Neill. Freightliner Northwest and Western Star Northwest proudly\u00a0represented not only the market-leading Detroit engine platform but also the dealership family\u2019s available training resources to help customers stay up to date on advancing engine technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was very happy with this year\u2019s turn out. I had a great time talking to folks and answering questions along the way. If you haven\u2019t been to the OLC make time to attend\u00a0next year! This is a great event and a way to see some really cool exhibits.
