Some of the statistics measured for the award were; average work hours per household, construction employment, and contribution to total GDP. Local freightliner dealer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.valleyfreightliner.com\/\">Valley Freightliner, Inc.<\/a>, was invited to participate by hosting the award ceremony at the Pacific, WA dealership.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/126950434053299\/photos\/?tab=album&amp;album_id=1069415183140148\">Here\u2019s how the event unfolded<\/a>&#8230; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-611\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freightlinernorthwest.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Blog-C-Miles-trophy-e1470782071856.png\" alt=\"Blog C-Miles-trophy\" width=\"567\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>August 3<sup>rd<\/sup> \u2013 Jobsite Visits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Hardest Working Cities<\/em> crew along with the Valley Freightliner, Inc. team,\u00a0travelled to three customer locations across the region.\u00a0Workers at each location\u00a0were served a meal and received\u00a0giveaway items\u00a0as a gesture of thanks for fueling our economy with\u00a0their hard work. The first surprise stop took place at an electric utility construction company, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.potelco.net\/index.html\">Potelco<\/a>. Breakfast and gear were handed out to many hard workers as they started their day. The next stop\u00a0was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fsafood.com\/main\/home.aspx\">Food Services of America<\/a> where workers received sandwiches, cold beverages, and <em>Hardest Working Cities<\/em> gear during the lunch hour. The final stop commenced at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.milessandandgravel.com\/\">Miles Sand and Gravel<\/a> and concluded the day with a meal and giveaway gear for the crews as they returned to the shop after a long day of hard work.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It has been an honor for Seattle-Tacoma to receive the &#8216;Hardest Working Cities&#8217; title,&#8221; said Alex Bernasconi, General Manager, Valley Freightliner. &#8220;Celebrating this achievement with some of our hardest working customers was a perfect tribute to\u00a0the sustainability and economic growth in our region.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-613\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freightlinernorthwest.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Blog-F-Customer-truck-display-e1470782132817.png\" alt=\"Blog F-Customer-truck-display\" width=\"567\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>August 4<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Open House &amp; Award Presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Valley Freightliner, Inc. and Freightliner&#8217;s <em>Hardest Working Cities<\/em> hosted the open house and award presentation at the VFI Pacific location. The event was held from noon to 3pm and featured meals for all guests from <a href=\"http:\/\/stacksburgers.com\/food-truck\">Stacks Burgers<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/papaboisfood.com\/\">Papa Bois<\/a> food trucks. Vocational trucks were on display from VFI customers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsdot.wa.gov\/\">WSDOT<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gensco.com\/Branches\/Auburn.aspx\">Gensco<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.potelco.net\/index.html\">Potelco<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boeing.com\/company\/about-bca\/renton-production-facility.page\">Boeing<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanforestlands.com\/\">American Forest Lands Logging<\/a>.
