(VFI) has selected Procede Software’s Excede DMS for its future Dealer Management System. In evaluating Excede DMS against other DMS alternatives, Excede stood out as the best overall solution. The product is mature, having been available and installed with customers going back to the early 2000’s and is built on modern SQL database architecture. Excede is also widely used by the Freightliner dealership community. The company’s approach to software and integration development stood out as a differentiator and Procede is endorsed by Daimler Trucks of North America as one of the best DMS systems available and a strong DTNA partner.

“Selecting the right dealer management system and business partner for any dealership is critical in this ever-evolving and competitive marketplace,” said Larry Kettler, CEO of Procede Software. “With more than 15 years of experience in the heavy duty commercial vehicle industry, we are honored to have been selected by Valley Freightliner. We are excited to begin work at this important time, as you bring all the dealerships on to one core business system, and look forward to a long and successful partnership for years to come.”

This decision allows VFI to go forward with its plan to consolidate Valley Freightliner, Pacific Truck Centers, Freedom Truck Centers and Eagle Freightliner on a single DMS system. Visibility to parts, service, truck inventories and activity as well as customer and vendor information across VFI’s network of twelve stores will improve VFI’s overall efficiency and ultimately improve service to VFI’s customers.

“We are extremely excited about what the future holds for the Valley Freightliner dealership family,” said Scott Gordon, President of VFI. “We have a challenging year ahead as we work together to achieve commonality in policy, process, systems and strategy. The consolidation of these four great companies onto Excede DMS is one of our most important initiatives from a process efficiency and customer service perspective and we are confident in our decision to partner with Procede Software. We believe in the product and the people at Procede that will help us with the implementation and support VFI into the future.”

Pacific, WA After several months of evaluation, Valley Freightliner, Inc.
