The FNW team was stationed near UCC at the SOTCE and provided a hands-on demo of running truck diagnostics using a laptop.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers of the SOTCE say the purpose of the expo is to show high school students all trade career paths they could take without a college degree.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a pleasure to participate in this year\u2019s SOTCE, introducing students to the Transportation Industry, discussing options to have a great career opportunity in the skilled trades,\u201d said Regional Operations Director John Edwards. \u201cThis fits our \u2018grow your own\u2019 approach with our technician mentorship program and the students were excited to learn about all the electronics involved in today\u2019s trucks and how today&#8217;s technicians go about diagnosing them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1416 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freightlinernorthwest.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/SOTCE-Blog-photo-e1570032052110.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Students or parents of students interested in a diesel technology career are welcome to reach out to HR@gordontruckcenters.com for more information.
