This year, the Gordon Truck Centers (GTC) dealer family including Freightliner Northwest (FNW) and Western Star Northwest (WSNW), submitted nine events in total, the largest team effort by any Dealer Family. Dealership CI events are part of the commitment to the Daimler Trucks North America&#8217;s (DTNA) Elite Support program.<\/p>\n<p>Two FNW CI events and CICs made it into the competition\u2019s Top 16. Brian Nicol represented the Redmond, OR branch with an event focused on \u201cTime to 1st Communication\u201d and Linda Meacham represented the Spokane, WA branch with an \u201cExpress Repair\u201d event. Linda\u2019s event worked through three separate rounds of voting and claimed the number one spot and trophy for CI Event of the Year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1257 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freightlinernorthwest.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Linda-2019-e1549563949209.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"658\" height=\"470\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The GTC Dealer Family has previously had events in the top 16 and top 8 with this year earning the first Event of the Year award.\u00a0 \u201cThis is an extraordinary accomplishment and testament to the hard work of the Spokane team \u2013 they are number one out of all (294) Elite Support Certified Dealers in North America,\u201d said Sean Bolan, Dealer Family Continuous Improvement Coordinator. \u201cCongratulations, Linda and team, you should all be very proud!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>This project was countless hours of work over 9 months and our Service team deserves every bit of the recognition that FNW-Spokane received at the summit.\u00a0 I am honored to have represented such a stellar team and project. \u2013 Linda Meacham <\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Event of the Year accolades, Brian Nicol of FNW-Redmond was one of this year\u2019s two inductees into the Elite Support Summit Club.\u00a0 The Summit Club is elite, with less than 15 members of longtime, dedicated CICs who have shown great leadership among their CIC peers.\u00a0 The Summit Club works directly with DTNA\u2019s Elite Support team and plays a large part in shaping the Elite Support program, as well as planning the annual Summit.\u00a0 Brian joins Jerrad Avery, Freightliner Northwest Regional Operations Director for the East, as GTC\u2019s second member of the Summit Club.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The Spokane team had a fantastic CI event and Linda did an amazing job showcasing the event.
