How did you start in the industry?
I started as an entry level technician in the Mount Vernon branch.
What makes FNW a unique place to work?
The ability to learn and grow and move up within the company. The opportunity to transfer with our different locations should not be overlooked as well.
What is the most interesting part of your day?
I like problem solving with the team, I don’t have all the answers so brainstorming as a group really helps.
What is your primary focus as you transition into the new role; what are some of your short term and long-term goals?
Even though I used to work at this branch, a lot has changed, so learning how they operate is a priority. I met with all the staff and asked them what we do well and what we need to improve on, so I have a large list of action items to work through.
Improving our time to first punch and our 24hr throughput is high on everyone’s agenda.
How do you think your previous roles have all prepared you for your new role?
I was able to work my way from tech to Forman, assistant service manager. I have worked in three of our locations, all have overcome some unique challenges, I’m hoping to bring those different perspectives to Mt Vernon.
FNW is an Elite Support dealership. What does that mean for customers and for service employees?
Elite support gives us the tools and the process to take an opportunity for improvement and turn it in to a positive change that will benefit customers and employees alike.
How do you hope to make a difference at Freightliner Northwest?
To provide exceptional customer service and get their vehicles back on the road faster.
